Job Description We have Fiber I&R Technician positions in the La Crosse, WI market and it is full-time. The primary function is to install fiber optic internet services, providing world‑class quality and product education for residential and commercial customers.

Role and Responsibilities for the Fiber I&R Technician
Installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic systems for residential and commercial customers.
Ensure adequate performance of internet, phone, and television services.
Complete pre‑install work orders and post‑install service verification and customer education to ensure satisfaction.
Place aerial or buried fiber optic drops and install interior and exterior wiring.
Mark proposed drop paths for jobs needing BSW.
Hand‑dig microduct from terminal to node.
Observe all safety rules and OSHA regulations.
Work at heights using ladders.
Work in confined spaces.
Assist other technicians as needed to achieve teamwork objectives.
Maintain a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating company products and services to customers.
Adapt to new processes and information frequently.
Use internal systems for work order notation and time keeping.
Keep customer appointments.
Maintain minimum acceptable metrics in Repeats, Productivity, and Completions.
Qualifications
Fiber optic internet and home phone service experience required.
Must satisfy company required tools and safety equipment checklist.
Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
Must have own tools to perform the job.
Must have a fiber splicer.
Smartphone and laptop (with Microsoft Excel) are required.
Can lift up to 80 lbs unassisted.
Effective communication skills and ability to multi‑task.
Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
Must pass background check, MVR screen, and drug test.
Must be accountable and dependable.
Must have the ability to work overtime and on weekends depending on the needs of the customer.
Have an ability to take input from customers, supervisors, leads, and co‑workers to problem solve and improve skills.
Compensation The pay is production based. Rates will be provided upon resume submission.
