Quality Control Manager (Heavy Civil Construction)
Location: Gilbert, AZ • Salary: $125–$135k DOE

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to establish, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems across large-scale infrastructure projects. This role ensures construction activities, materials, and finished works comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and enforce quality control plans and procedures for civil construction projects
Lead the quality control team and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field crews
Conduct inspections and testing of construction materials, workmanship, and completed structures
Document and report quality issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions
Oversee subcontractor and supplier compliance with quality standards
Collaborate with safety, engineering, and project management teams to ensure integrated quality assurance
Maintain and analyze quality records, test results, and inspection reports
Prepare for and participate in regulatory, client, and third-party audits
Train staff and subcontractors on quality control requirements and best practices
Monitor adherence to environmental and safety regulations as they relate to quality
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Proven experience in quality control or assurance within heavy civil construction projects
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards (e.g., ASTM, AASHTO)
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., DOT, OSHA, EPA)
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment
Performance Indicators
Reduction in rework, defects, and non-conformances
Successful completion of audits and inspections
Timely and accurate quality documentation
Compliance with client and regulatory quality standards
Reporting To
Director of Operations, Project Executive, or Construction Manager (depending on project structure)
