Facilities Manager
Facilities Manager oversees employee and visitor safety, building maintenance, repair and upgrades, and ensures compliance with environmental, safety and health procedures relating to facility operations at our headquarters. The role also responsible for supervising other Hantz facilities throughout the state.
Essential Job Functions
Coordinating building maintenance and repairs
Providing occupants with updates on electrical, water and other service outages and scheduled shutdowns
Overseeing building security
Requesting special janitorial services
Staying informed of changes to space assignments in the facilities
Developing and implementing facility emergency plans
Negotiating landscape and snow removal contracts
Overseeing office build-outs and repairs
Performing all other tasks assigned
Education, Knowledge & Skills
High School Diploma or GED
At least 3 years of building maintenance experience
Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair
Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques
Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of public buildings
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Skill in reading and following assembly instructions
Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior leadership and contractors
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
