Events and Logistics Manager We are seeking an experienced Non‑Profit Fundraising Events and Logistics Manager with a minimum of four years of professional experience planning and leading large‑scale nonprofit fundraising events. Qualified candidates will have direct responsibility for events generating approximately $1 million or more in annual philanthropic revenue within a nonprofit organization. This is not an entry‑level role. The position is responsible for independently planning, executing, and evaluating high‑quality fundraising events from concept through completion in support of the mission of Ronald McDonald House Kansas City. The role ensures operational excellence across all event logistics and manages a small portfolio of assigned donors to support cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising goals.

Experience limited to social events, weddings, volunteer committees, or small internal workplace events does not meet the requirements for this role.

Pay Range: $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Essential Job Functions Event Strategy, Planning, and Execution

Plan, strategize, lead, and execute Ronald McDonald House Kansas City’s special events portfolio, including the Trent Green Golf Classic and the Spark of Hope Gala.

Ensure events remain on track to achieve combined annual fundraising goals in excess of $1.75 million through the development and execution of detailed action plans, timelines, and budgets.

Lead event committees, vendors, volunteers, and staff in clearly defined roles and responsibilities related to organizational events.

Grow event revenue through night‑of fundraising streams such as live auction, silent auction, Fund‑the‑Mission, and other engagement opportunities.

Logistics and Operational Management

Oversee event logistics including venue coordination, vendor management, load‑in/load‑out schedules, equipment rentals, transportation, staffing plans, run‑of‑show documents, and contingency planning.

Donor Relations and Portfolio Management

Manage and steward a small portfolio of assigned donors, including event sponsors, key event participants, and selected individual donors.

Cultivate relationships through personalized engagement, event participation, and targeted stewardship opportunities throughout the year.

Ensure assigned donors receive timely acknowledgments, recognition, and meaningful engagement aligned with a culture of gratitude.

Sponsorships, Committees, and Partnerships

Develop and steward relationships with in‑kind sponsors, ensuring appropriate recognition and fulfillment of sponsorship benefits.

Recruit, manage, retain, and engage high‑level event committee members to support fundraising, outreach, and event success.

Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure event messaging and the mission of Ronald McDonald House Kansas City are effectively communicated through event collateral, signage, invitations, and digital marketing.

Proactively identify and resolve issues, maintaining a high level of professionalism and composure in fast‑paced environments.

Required Education and Experience

An equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience will be considered.

Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, marketing, social sciences, or a related field.

Five or more years of experience planning and executing major nonprofit fundraising events.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse audiences.

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and develop solutions to complex problems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software, with the ability to learn donor and volunteer database systems.
