Summary of Position Coordinates the workflow and day-to-day activities of medical office and employees while maintaining a collaborative working environment. Supports the daily operations relative to patient care and managing the office functions (e.g., coordinating physician schedules, patient rescheduling, referral, and prior authorization support). Promotes positive employee morale and ensures all office operations are handled effectively, professionally, and in an expeditious manner. Keeps Practice Manager informed of any processes or concerns related to office operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Formal Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Medical Diploma/License/Certification or Associate Degree preferred
Experience & Training Required:
Two (2) years of previous medical office experience (i.e., Medical Assistant, Medical Receptionist; Referral Coordinator); Physician office setting preferred
Previous experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) preferred

Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient communication skills to include working collaboratively with patients, families, clinical co-workers, as well as, internal and external departments
Ability to be highly motivated, work collaboratively, and work in a fast paced stressful and unpredictable environment
Ability to process and complete assigned reporting requirements
Previous experience and understanding of financial acumen
Knowledge of clinical quality standards
Exhibits effective leadership skills
Ability to complete tasks in an organized and timely fashion
Ability to adapt to daily changes
Computer proficiency
Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
Level of Physical Demands: Light: Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously.

Compensation $21.54/hr – $25.86/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
