MECHANIC II – Crown Linen, LLC
Under limited supervision, the
Mechanic II
is responsible for moderate to advanced repair and preventive maintenance of industrial laundry equipment and related systems. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility systems in a fast‑paced, high‑volume production setting.
Responsibilities
Follow all company safety protocols and demonstrate safety awareness throughout each shift
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and maintain accurate service logs
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment issues
Replace worn or faulty machine components (mechanical and electrical)
Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams
Conduct basic welding, plumbing, and general facility maintenance tasks
Support plant operations by completing opening and closing equipment procedures
Look up and request parts using manuals, inventory systems, or online resources
Mentor junior mechanics on routine maintenance and troubleshooting
Collaborate with the maintenance team and assist with project work or additional duties as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within commercial laundry, manufacturing, or high‑volume production environments
High school diploma or GED required; completion of a technical or trade school program is a plus
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic (especially conveyor belts), and automation systems, including experience with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and blueprints to assist in diagnostics and repair tasks
Familiarity with using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to manage maintenance activities and track equipment performance
Basic understanding of low‑ and high‑voltage systems, as well as HVAC controls, thermostats, and boiler operations
Ability to perform basic welding tasks (acetylene or arc welding) for equipment maintenance and minor fabrication
Exposure to root cause analysis, Lean, or TPM methodologies to support equipment reliability and reduce downtime
Good communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, especially in team‑based environments
Certifications in electrical safety, HVAC, welding, or other relevant trades are preferred
