We are hiring Prodevco & Brake Press Machine Operators at Alamo Structural Steel LLC.
Job Description As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating various machines such as drill lines, anglematic, brake presses, auerosheers, burn tables, duplicators, paranas, and transfer tables. You must read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to carefully set up, select, position, secure, and operate production machinery under established procedures and guidelines. The Machine Operator will accurately and timely adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications.
Minimum Starting Salary $20.00 to $26.00 per hour - depending on experience. Full-time Alamo employees will receive a $1.00/hr shift differential pay.
Schedule Days:
Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
Nights:
Monday - Thursday 3:00pm to 1:30am
Weekend:
Friday - Sunday 5:00am - 5:30pm - eligible for a 4hr incentive
Essential Functions
Rigorously inspect materials before, during, and after processing to ensure quality control of the finished product
Read and interpret written instructions from manufacturing work orders and cut-sheets
Ensure machines are operating properly and safely
Provide basic maintenance to the machine(s) to properly operate
Prepare materials to be processed and mounted coil in the hub
Operate hoists and check periodically to plan preventative maintenance assigned to the truck production functions
Run full diagnosis and treatment of faults and/or situations that affect the functioning of the designated machine
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Comply with Company and OHSA policies
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge and ability to distinguish different types of materials
Knowledge of metal and basic shop fabrication equipment
Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, engineering specifications, and troubleshoot malfunctions
Ability to operate forklift, overhead crane, and tractor-trailer
Ability to withstand pressure and adapt to changes
Ability to multi-task while meeting strict deadlines
