Job Overview Operates a variety of production machines such as saws, presses, drills, hand and powered equipment, and automatic presses that may require raw material to be loaded onto stock reels.
Responsibilities
Push button, operate electrical control, and/or depress pedal to activate machine.
Verify safety equipment on machine and ensure equipment is functional before starting job.
Work from operation sheets, printed, or verbal instructions as necessary.
Observe machine operation to detect work‑piece defects or machine malfunctions.
May flatten, pierce, stamp, drill, or chamfer work pieces.
Assemble and/or sort work pieces.
Perform minor machine adjustments and maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
Handle and lift material such as tote pans.
Report job operations on daily labor ticket and count slip.
Ensure product quality and maintain a clean work area.
Perform other related work as required.
Qualifications Entry level to highly experienced manufacturing experience.
