Position Summary The basic function is to perform routine and emergency service calls, troubleshoot, replace, and/or repair malfunctioning or inoperative equipment. Works with minimal supervision and may provide training and assistance to less senior technicians or trainees. Duties And Responsibilities Perform routine and emergency service calls; troubleshoot, replace, and/or repair malfunctioning or inoperative equipment. Proctor, coach, and teach others. Provide reliable, high-quality customer support and instruction on system operation and functionality. Perform system testing and signal verification. Maintain necessary truck stock/inventory of equipment and tools. Organize and utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks. Ensure progress and completion of assigned tasks. Document service and hours worked. Submit all required task-related activities and productivity documentation in a timely manner. Maintain a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Complete other projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of High School Diploma or Vocational Training. Three (3) or more years of experience. Mastery knowledge of troubleshooting commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems. Full understanding of local/national codes. Knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters, battery analyzers, and decibel meters. Valid driver's license and ability to clear a drug screening. Certification/Licensing Obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses required by national, state, and local codes. Require 50%–75% proficiency in Everon Commercial Tier 1 product offerings. Work Environment Employee occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and harsh work environments. Physical Requirements Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color. Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions or circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc. Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs. Work a full-time, flexible schedule with "on call availability" and travel on short notice. Drive a motor vehicle for extended periods. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, procedures, etc. presented in English.
