Summary The Planned Maintenance (PM) Technician is responsible for the scheduled planned maintenance (P.M.) of all lift trucks within a designated service zone.
Responsibilities
Conduct minor repairs on forklifts.
Perform thorough forklift inspections to identify any required repairs. Document and report all findings on every PM work order.
Consult with customers regarding needed repairs or additional maintenance items.
Maintain clear penmanship and accurate record‑keeping.
Communicate daily activities with zone teammates to ensure the zone consistently achieves 100% PM completion.
Keep the PM vehicle clean and stocked with supplies.
Work with a company vehicle that may be kept at your residence.
Skills & Requirements
Excellent driving record.
Basic computer skills.
Self‑motivated and organized.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. (occasionally more).
Experience 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
Education & Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Clean, unrestricted driver's license.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands Work is performed in a maintenance environment with potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals or solvents. Work may occur at customer locations including manufacturing, warehouses, and cold storage facilities; and in other sometimes difficult or outdoor environments. The role requires continuous physical motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, lifting, and includes the ability to lift 75 lbs.
