Description
Position Overview
The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility. This position ensures all areas are cleaned, organized, and properly maintained to create a safe and pleasant environment for employees, visitors, and customers.
Work Hours
Monday-Thursday 11:00 a.m.-7:30 pm and Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Daily Cleaning Tasks
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors
Vacuum carpeted areas and mop hard surface floors
Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and handrails
Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes
Maintain consistent quality standards for all cleaning activities
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Demonstrate professional behavior and positive attitude
Maintain confidentiality and respect for facility property
General Maintenance
Restock supplies in restrooms and common areas
Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to supervisor
Maintain cleaning supply inventory and equipment
Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks as assigned
Set up and break down meeting rooms and event spaces as needed
Specialized Cleaning
Clean kitchen and break room areas, including appliances and countertops
Maintain lobby and reception areas to company standards
Perform seasonal cleaning tasks such as washing walls and cleaning light fixtures
Handle spill cleanup and emergency cleaning situations
Requirements
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights when necessary
