Banquet Setup Supervisor

Location: 651 Scottsdale Curio Resort & Spa, Scottsdale, AZ 85258
Employment Type: Full Time | Shift: Any
Responsibilities
Supervises the Banquet Setup Department
Manually set up, break down, and service all meeting rooms in accordance with the hotel’s high standards of quality.
Maintain storage rooms, keeping them organized.
Maintain back hall: break down dirty dishes and bring to dish room.
Pickup linen and put away.
Set up all meeting rooms to guest specifications, including transporting heavy materials from storage area to meeting rooms.
Break down all meeting rooms after meetings and return items to storage.
Maintain cleaning schedule of meeting rooms and ballrooms to keep rooms presentable.
Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
Communicate with supervisor throughout shift.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products and adhere to health standards.
Handle spills or special guest requests as needed.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Follow safety and security procedures and rules.
Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
Use protective equipment.
Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near‑misses, property damage or loss to Director.
Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures.
Maintain neat, clean and well‑groomed appearance as outlined in the team member handbook.
Perform related duties as requested.
Assist other Banquet Personnel as needed.
Lift and move multiple tables and chairs and podiums weighing up to 80 lbs. through crowded rooms.
Move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing up to 100 lbs.
Qualifications
Hold a current Food Handler Card.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware; various types of equipment and set up styles used in meeting rooms (e.g., round, schoolroom).
Basic English language proficiency to understand customer inquiries and communicate simple instructions.
Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions for safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
Ability to remember, recite and promote variety of menu items.
Ability to operate beverage equipment such as a coffee maker.
