Regional Sales Manager – Southwest Territory Southco, Inc.

About the role As a Regional Sales Manager, this role will be responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets within a designated region. This role will oversee a team of sales representatives, develop and implement sales strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the company's sales initiatives. This role will play a key role in expanding the company's market share and maximizing profitability in your region.

What you will be doing Sales Leadership and Management:

Lead and direct a team of sales representatives to achieve sales and profit goals within your assigned region. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Establish challenging yet achievable sales targets for individual sales representatives and the region as a whole. Provide regular coaching and mentoring to sales representatives to enhance their skills and performance. Conduct performance evaluations and identify areas for improvement for individual sales representatives.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

Develop and implement short-term and long-term sales strategies tailored to the specific dynamics of your region by analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Collaborate with engineering, marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales efforts with overall company strategies. Continuously monitor and evaluate sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Customer Relationship Management:

Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, fostering a deep understanding of their needs and priorities. Proactively identify and pursue new customer opportunities within the assigned region. Negotiate and close high-value sales deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty. Manage customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Team Leadership and Development:

Foster a positive and results-oriented work environment that motivates and energizes sales team members. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of sales representatives. Empower sales representatives to make decisions and take ownership of their sales pipeline. Recognize and reward individual and team achievements to promote a culture of excellence.

About you

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of success in achieving sales target

Extensive knowledge of sales methodologies, strategies, and best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate teams.

Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time.
