Winemaker for a boutique, award-winning winery, cidery, & meadery.
Primary responsibilities include leading all aspects of harvest & wine-making tasks, including cider, mead and fruit wines. Winemaking responsibilities includes leading custom-crush and bulk wine programs.
Primary focus is winemaking, but depending on the season and workload it will also include assistance in the vineyard. Vineyard assistance during slow times in the winery may include pruning, managing the canopy, harvesting, planting, etc.
Due to the nature of harvest and the winemaking process, flexibility in scheduling is a requirement.
Previous experience in either winemaking or cidermaking, and/or education in enology & viticulture is a requirement.
Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work independently, with a requirement to be able to work 8-10 hours in a standing position the majority of the time and to be able to lift 40 pounds.
Candidates must provide a cover letter or summary in the resume explaining his or her relevant experience or education, and why they would be a good fit for this position.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
