Marvin
The Safety Supervisor will review, evaluate and analyze work environments and assist with the development of programs and procedures to control, eliminate and prevent injuries, while providing direct leadership of Safety Technicians. This role requires strong communication skills, unique problem‑solving ability, and a process‑mindset skillset.
Highlights of your role
Train staff to understand KPI's and implement goals and objectives to obtain results
Maintain a visible presence on the production floor
Recommend best practices for compliance with safety standards and government regulations
Conduct safety training and education programs
Support weekly new employee health and safety orientation
Maintain core safety and health programs
Explain and answer questions regarding company safety policies, processes, and procedures
Coordinate emergency response drills
Assist with accident investigations to identify root causes and future prevention
Assist with improving training policies and programs
Lead department Safety Committee reviews and meetings
Provide direct leadership
Develop, implement, and maintain annual department safety training programs/modules
Stay well‑informed of changes in regulations
All other job duties as assigned

Strong skills in leadership, administrative/record keeping, organizational management, and public speaking
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Treat others with respect and value diverse perspectives
Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize time accordingly
Can effectively take broad direction and independently translate it into actionable and measurable work product and efforts, is a self‑starter and leader
Delivers results on time and in a manner consistent with communicated expectations
Challenges conventional thinking and looks for innovative solutions to problems
Ability to lead and inspire others and effectively influence, at times, without authority
Out of the box thinking and ability to approach mitigation concepts to long‑standing challenges
Capacity to read and accurately interpret regulations and best practice standards from various rule‑making bodies such as OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI
Works well independently or as part of cross‑functional teams, as necessary
Ability to collaborate effectively with associates across different business functions to achieve a common goal
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency as well as other computer skills related to safety management systems desired
Physical demands include, but are not limited to, climbing stairs/ladders, bending, reaching, working in indoor/outdoor environments, and lifting
Also want to make sure you have
Bachelor's in related field preferred, which may be considered in lieu of directly applicable work experience.
