Duties
Conduct maintenance of four campgrounds and 15 waysides to include vault toilets, fee station shelters, picnic tables, and other structures.
Provide a unique recreational experience for visitors by leading tours, presenting interpretive programs, and advising visitors on safety procedures, fire prevention, amenities available, and authorized use of recreation facilities.
Operate a 4-wheel drive vehicle with an attached trailer. Operate 4 wheel drive off-road-vehicles (ATVs). Load and secure vehicles and equipment on trailers.
Develop educational and interpretive programs and materials such as pamphlets, exhibits, signs, and handouts.
Use hand tools for minor maintenance; trimmers, lawn mowers, and pruners for grounds maintenance; pick up trash; shovel out fire grates; and paint small structures.
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required.

You cannot hold an active real estate license: nor can you have an interest or hold stocks in firms with interest in Federal Lands.
Direct Deposit Required.
Appointment will be subject to a favorably adjudicated background/suitability investigation/determination.

This position requires regular and recurring overtime and shift work.
This position requires you to wear an officially-approved uniform while in a duty status. The incumbent is required to wear the uniform in accordance with applicable policies and be required to sign a condition of uniform wear statement.
An applicant appointed to this position must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license while employed in this position.
This position may require the applicant to carry bear repellent spray for protection from bears and other dangerous animals.
This position contains remote work that is sometimes multiple days in a field environment.
Government housing is available, but not required.
