Job Description Wage
- $53,000 annually
Schedule
– Full Time, 8hr shifts
What you will be doing You’ll be responsible for the supervision of senior officers, security guards, safety offer and drivers. Responsible for the management of center security which includes safety, fire protection, security, and transportation in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Duties
Performs security officer duties and provides supervision to staff to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, fire, flood, or similar disasters on assigned shifts.
Ensure the physical security of buildings, center vehicles, and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment.
Provide fire protection. Conduct frequent fire drills and inspections of the facility.
Advise and train security officers in security procedures.
Assist in transporting students and reporting and suppressing fires.
Coordinate with other center staff concerning security matters and conduct security related investigations.
Act as liaison with neighboring law enforcement and fire agencies.
Assure accountability of students, staff, and visitor check-out and check-in proceedings by scheduling coverage.
Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred and two (2) years experience required, one of which must be in a supervisory capacity.
Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
