A typical day in this position involves starting with reviewing shop routers and manufacturing drawings, followed by the hands‑on task of disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and assembling steam turbines and compressors. Accuracy is key in documenting inspection reports and managing spare parts. Collaboration with team members is essential for successful repair processes, all while adhering to Siemens' high standards of safety and quality. The role may include working night shifts and weekends.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Primary responsibility includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair and assembly of steam turbines, steam T&T valves and centrifugal compressors
Review of shop routers, review and understanding of manufacturing drawings
Filling out as‑found inspection reports denoting required repairs
Review bills of materials and compile spare parts report
Review repair process and implement repairs
Provide support to other departments as required
What You Bring
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred and minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial mechanical repair
Background in repair of large steam turbines and centrifugal compressors
Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned tasks with limited supervision and works well with others
Ability to interpret specifications, manufacturing drawings and follow directions
Willing to work night shift and weekends
