Requirements From your PASSION to ours
Sanitation team members maintain sanitation needed for quality cheese production by performing necessary sanitation tasks in the packaging department following all safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies. Candidates must be available to work over 40 hours per week (weekends are required).
From your EXPERTISE to ours
Key responsibilities for this position include:
Meet production efficiency budget levels while maintaining a high‑quality product
Work independently in the proper disassembly, cleaning, assembly, and start‑up process of the packaging machines
Inspect equipment after cleaning and sanitizing
Clean and sanitize packaging equipment and the packaging department’s physical environment
Perform random verification of chemical concentrations
Monitor chemical usage and quality of work
Accurately complete associated sanitation process paperwork while maintaining cleaning schedules
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Interact with associates to maintain efficient workflow
Maintain an open line of communication with all line workers and supervisors
Perform sanitation duties as assigned
Report problems and/or concerns to the on‑duty supervisor
Attend departmental meetings and training as assigned by the supervisor and/or manager
Apply safety rules and ensure they’re implemented and followed
Apply Good Manufacturing Practices Standard
Perform other work duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Candidate must have the following attributes and skills: strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance, color and ability to focus), able to push **/
"+" pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally, be able to stand for the entire shift, and be able to perform repetitive movements (e.g., twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching).

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
Education:
High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) is preferred
Experience:
Previous employment in a food industry setting is preferred; stable and dependable work history is required
Knowledge of:
Basic mathematical skills are required (must be able to calculate averages)
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work in a food industry or manufacturing environment; strong attention to detail and accuracy; manual dexterity; vision abilities (close, distance, color and ability to focus); push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally; stand for entire shift; perform repetitive movements (e.g., twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching)
Pay:
$21.70/hr + $2.50/hr shift differential, weekend premium 20% more. Lactalis offers very competitive pay, benefits and paid time off.
Hours:
10:00 PM to 6:15 AM.
