Job Title Flex Security Officer
Location & Compensation Groveport, OH
$17.50/hr, weekly pay.

Job Skills / Requirements
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is preferred.
1+ years of experience in a customer service role.
Reliable transportation.
Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong report writing skills.
Qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) and work 20 hours per week (minimum of 500 hours per year). Six months of service with Sunstates Security is required to qualify for these benefits.
Flex Officer Explanation The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service while protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.
Scheduling Expectations
You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment.
Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift.
You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance that falls within the availability described on this sheet. If you know you will be unavailable at a scheduled time, you must communicate this with your supervisor.
For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. Refusing more than 20% of requested shifts could negatively impact your employment status.
A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent.
