HVAC Service Tech
Job Type: Full-time permanent position
Location: Merrimack, NH and surrounding counties!
Pay: $38.00 - $50.00 per hour DOE + Excellent Benefits Package and company vehicle!
What You’ll Do
Able to respond to the workload of service calls in a professional manner.
Lead / Mentor / Train up to 4 HVAC Technicians in light commercial and residential work.
Communicate effectively with customers, explaining problem causes and remedies and recommended next steps.
Follow and utilize troubleshooting guides to identify problems quickly.
Consistently check system operations and safety and limit controls before leaving job locations.
Ensure customers’ questions/concerns have been addressed before leaving the worksite.
Use proper tools and instruments while troubleshooting.
Incorporate solution techniques to assist other service representatives and help resolve issues and customer problems.
Schedule arrival and departure with customers.
Communicate tactfully to offer suggestions if system problems are caused by the customer.
Determine priorities based on a call schedule, respond to inadvertent interruptions, carry proper tools and materials, and schedule vehicle maintenance.
Promptly and accurately complete all required paperwork.
Keep supervisor and manager informed of new developments, changes, or customer complaints.
Complete service reports daily; obtain customer signature on all service reports.
Sign up for memberships and technical organizations to improve knowledge and skills.
Keep technical knowledge current regarding equipment and concepts.
What You’ll Need To Have
3-5 years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience
NH Gas license and Journeyman License preferred
Previous Leadership / Management / Mentorship experience
Universally EPA Certified
Ability to troubleshoot HVAC components with built‑up systems and package units, including chiller air handler pump towers, cooling towers, control systems, boilers, and air handling systems.
Demonstrated refrigeration and controls experience.
Demonstrated commercial expertise in boilers, chillers, pneumatic controls, digital controls, and packaged HVAC equipment.
Valid Driver’s License
Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, problem recognition and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work as part of a team with a strong sense of teamwork; highly motivated.
Ability to read electronic schematics.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
High School diploma/GED required + equivalent work experience.
