PreK Special Education Ed Tech
Georgetown Central School is seeking a dedicated and nurturing
Special Education Educational Technician
to provide one-on-one support for a PreK student. This role focuses on assisting the student with the carryover of specific skills and strategies throughout their entire school day.
Position Details
Schedule:
5 days per week / 7 hours per day.
Start Date:
January 20, 2026, through the end of the school year.
Location:
Georgetown Central School.
Key Responsibilities
1:1 Student Support:
Provide dedicated assistance to support the academic and social needs of one student throughout the day.
Strategy Implementation:
Execute specialized strategies, behavioral modifications, and accommodations to support the student's unique learning profile.
Instructional Support:
Facilitate engagement during academic centers, outdoor learning, and all other school activities.
Collaboration:
Maintain regular communication with the student’s Case Manager, the Lead Teacher, and building administration to ensure effective implementation of goals.
Qualifications
Certification:
Maine Educational Technician II, or III certification through the Maine DOE.
Experience:
Essential experience working with students with special needs; experience with ages 3-5 preferred.
Disposition:
Strong interpersonal skills and a calming presence.
