Account Manager – Infotec Travel expectations – based at Virginia Beach, VA office + 10% local travel

Position Summary The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing client relationships for Infotec’s training and professional development programs. This position focuses on understanding client needs and recommending appropriate technology and business training solutions to help organizations achieve their learning and performance goals. The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and partners with internal teams to ensure exceptional client service and program delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of existing client accounts, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and long‑term partnerships.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with current and prospective clients.

Consult with organizations to understand workforce training needs and recommend appropriate Infotec courses, workshops, or custom solutions.

Develop proposals, pricing, and contracts in coordination with leadership.

Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate program logistics, instructor scheduling, and course delivery.

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of client activity, communications, and opportunities in the CRM system.

Monitor training industry trends, competitor offerings, and client feedback to inform sales strategy.

Meet or exceed defined sales goals and performance targets.

Represent Infotec at trade shows, client meetings, and community events to promote services and build brand awareness.

Requirements Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3–5 years of professional experience in account management, business development, or sales—preferably in training, education, or professional services. 3‑5 years of professional sales experience with a focus on account management and new business development. Training, education and professional services experience a plus.

Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales and client retention goals.

Skills/Abilities

Excellent relationship‑building, communication, and presentation skills.

Strong consultative sales approach with the ability to match client needs to training solutions.

Highly organized with attention to detail and follow‑through.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Proficient with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Results‑driven, self‑motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, events, and conferences.

Working Conditions
