Schedule:
7a-7p, Day Shift
Compensation:
$17.84 - $24.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for nights and weekends
Selective Specialty Hospital is a critical‑illness recovery hospital committed to providing world‑class inpatient post‑ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Responsibilities
Use independent judgment to provide clerical services to the patient care units, including correct transcription of orders, filing of all reports and arranging for transportation and follow‑up/outside tests.
Answer the telephone, take and deliver messages by phone or verbally.
Maintain close communication with the Charge Nurse/House Supervisor.
Handle all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
Order supplies, as needed, from Materials Management.
Verify physician privileges prior to transcribing orders.
Appropriately transcribe and flag orders from charts.
Arrange for the transport of patients for tests that are not offered in the hospital.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience with medical files and terminology.
