Location: Knipp Building; 3418 Knipp Drive, Jefferson City, MO. Alternative and remote locations will not be considered.

Why you’ll love this position The person in this position will work with a dedicated team of investigators, while gaining new and valuable skills. This is a mostly independent position, responsible for protecting the Missouri Medicaid program from fraud, waste, and abuse.
What you’ll do
Answer the MMAC fraud hotline, monitor MMAC’s report fraud email account, and document referrals in MMAC’s case management database.
Conduct timely investigations related to the legitimacy of Medicaid billings by providers and pre‑enrollment investigations to determine if providers have met all enrollment requirements.
Conduct site‑visits of various providers and provider types, as requested.
Conduct reviews of provider records, conduct interviews with providers/recipients, gather and preserve evidence, and write detailed and accurate investigative reports.
Testify in federal or state court or at administrative hearings, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, 2 or more years of relevant experience, and relevant certification/licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a law enforcement officer with responsibility for conducting investigations.
Close attention to detail, an aptitude for data analysis, and good verbal and written communication skills.
Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.
