Electrician Analyze blueprints and drawings of electrical systems to determine the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems for all wastewater plants, lift stations, water plants, wells, etc. Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures to identify equipment and/or system repair. Install and repair electrical components. Respond to emergencies during and after hours for lift stations. Work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager.

Fabricate, install, check, and repair electrical equipment and/or instrumentation systems, such as general power circuits (DC and AC single and 3‑phase at voltages from 0‑13,600V or 15kV), complex pump controls and circuitry, flow pressure and weight measuring systems, monitoring and control instrumentation including programmable logic controllers (PLC) and radio‑transmitted supervisory control, and/or data acquisition systems (SCADA).

Install, maintain, and/or repair complex electrical control systems, power distribution systems, and/or high and low voltage switching systems and equipment. Install, maintain, and repair heavy electric motors (AC and DC), motor control devices, variable frequency drives (VFD), DC drives, and/or magnetic drives. Configure microprocessor‑based instruments.

Respond to emergency and trouble calls, locate and identify the cause, and perform corrective actions as required. All other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

Proven experience in instrumentation, measurement and control, electronics, electrical, and/or mechanical or related field.

Electrical experience.

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Possession of a valid Driver License.

Must be available to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays and weather events as scheduled or needed in accordance with departmental policies.
