Overview
Indiana University Health seeks a full‑time Paralegal to support our legal team. The role is hybrid, working 2 days in the office (Wednesdays and one chosen day) and 3 days from home, located at the Fairbanks Hall building in Indianapolis, IN.
Role Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison between attorneys and internal and external contacts.
Provide high‑level administrative support, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents (e.g., correspondence, legal holds).
Support attorneys with liability claims, including document production, privilege review, and internal stakeholder communication.
Coordinate and manage discovery requests in litigation, gathering, reviewing, and organizing responsive documents.
Ensure timely responses to discovery obligations and compliance with court deadlines.
Assist in preparation of meetings, including agendas and material distribution.
Create and maintain corporate and legal forms, documents, reports, policies, procedures, governance documentation, and spreadsheets.
Assist with presentations and database updates.
Manage various projects as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications
Paralegal degree or certification preferred; bachelor's degree required.
0–3 years of relevant experience; experience with discovery and litigation support strongly preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience in a matrix organization and complex work environment preferred.
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
