Key Responsibilities
Detail required material/components using AutoCAD or other methods. Prepare layouts according to specifications.
Interact with customers to review plans and determine scope and other requirements of the job.
Reconcile back‑logs pertaining to finished material/components and ordered amounts.
Review drawings and supporting documentation to verify adherence to standard practices. Copy, print, and distribute finished detail plans to customers.
Assist with maintaining and updating project status in the project management system of record.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Nature and Scope
May modify processes to resolve situations.
Under limited supervision, rely on experience and exercise independent judgment to determine the best approach to achieve desired outcomes.
Provide general guidance, training, and technical assistance to junior support personnel.
Work Environment
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area, with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, or temperature extremes.
Most time spent sitting or standing in the same location; may need to stoop or move light material (≤8 lb).
Requires overnight travel Education and Experience
Technical certification or associate degree may be required.
Generally 5–7 years of experience in a related area.
Preferred Qualifications
Certificate of completion in drafting, industrial drawing or construction.
Work experience in construction, manufacturing fabrication or drafting.
Engineering background preferred.
MasterCam experience will be highly favored.
