Job Details We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager for our Light Industrial division in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of our light industrial construction projects, including subcontractor coordination, labor costs, material costs, and RFPs. The role requires a high level of expertise in project management, with a specific focus on the construction sector. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of project‑management experience in construction and at least 3 years in a similar role.
Responsibilities
Oversee all stages of the project life cycle, managing development from initiation to closure.
Coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring all parties meet project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
Manage labor and material costs, ensuring adherence to budget limits.
Prepare and submit project estimates and RFPs, providing detailed and accurate cost projections.
Establish effective communication plans and ensure execution.
Monitor progress continuously and produce detailed scheduled reports on milestones and deliverables.
Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Identify and manage project risks, developing effective mitigation strategies.
Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project outputs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of project‑management experience in construction.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in light industrial construction.
Proven experience in subcontractor coordination, labor costs, material costs, and RFPs.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time‑management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Proficiency in project‑management software tools.
PMP or equivalent certification is considered an asset.
Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in construction.
Ability to foster positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
