What we are looking for SCS Engineers is looking for a Project Engineer to join our 100% employee-owned firm and start creating your own legacy within our Operations, Monitoring, and Maintenance (OMM) Division!

In this position you will serve clients diverse project needs, embrace teamwork, and have the desire to develop professionally.

You will be involved in managing projects, developing proposals and will also be directly involved with public and private clients in marketing, client management, and project production.

Responsibilities include project management, business development, and staff training.

Project responsibility will have a primary focus on solid waste management, including landfill gas, composting, and other projects, which may require design, engineering, permitting, construction and operations support.

You will report to a Regional Manager/Vice President. We prefer that you are based in our Medina, OH location, but we are open to remote work based on experience.

How you can make an impact

Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles and practices in solid waste assignment areas and related fields.

Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.

Manage projects and personnel to meet both client and SCS expectations.

Makes decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods, plans and coordinate work, and represent us at meetings and conferences.

Field work in varied terrain and weather will be required, including surveys/data gathering, construction quality assurance, inspections, etc.

Office-based tasks including: CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, creating site plans and facility diagrams, permit applications, etc.

Business development including : proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry related conferences/trade shows.

Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering required.

Minimum of 6 years of relevant civil or environmental experience required. Consulting experience, business specific to the solid waste industry, including landfill gas management, air compliance, and landfill design and permitting, etc. preferred.

Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.

Pay Range USD $62.00 - USD $65.00 /Hr.
