Hourly Pay:
$9.00 - $14.50 (plus gratuity)
Location: Everett, MA (The Encore Boston Harbor)
Working at a large casino offering gaming, hospitality, and entertainment services.
Responsibilities
Ensures all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
Participate in the execution of short-and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness; effects changes required for improvement. Identifies key drivers of success.
Actively contributes to departmental performance, and the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental policies and procedures; records and reports.
Verifies that all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and property-wide controls are enforced within the department.
Delivers and maintains a maximum level of service.
Contributes to company-wide communication and best practices.
Keeps informed of all new developments within the department.
Manages multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines, often in stressful and high‑pressure situations.
Simultaneously executes and maintains game dealing, player tracking, bankroll maintenance, and guest service.
Monitors guest activity while at tables and maintains open communication with supervisors regarding table games activities.
Ensures compliance with all gaming regulations and house policies and procedures.
Notifies supervisor of any irregularities in the play and/or transactions during the shift.
Adheres to appropriate gaming regulations, policies and procedures.
Provides excellent customer service and communication.
Works with safety as a priority, and follows department and company safety standards.
Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training.
Performs any other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
18 years of age or older; must obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
High school degree or equivalent preferred; casino or dealing experience preferred.
Must be able to deal Blackjack and one additional game. Additional games a plus.
Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy manuals and maintenance instructions.
Conversational English required; ability to write instructions and effectively present information.
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations and maintain reports.
Physical demands: regular talking, hearing, standing, walking, use of hands, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, lift at least 50 pounds.
Work environment: moderate to loud noise levels; professional interaction with guests; variable schedules; reliable attendance.
