The Senior Associate Director, Consumer Marketing will lead patient‑focused strategies for a second‑to‑market treatment in Bronchiectasis, where differentiation is critical to success. This role will define and execute a bold consumer vision, combining deep media expertise with seamless omnichannel execution to reach patients effectively. You will partner cross‑functionally with Medical, Regulatory, and Access teams to drive compliant, high‑impact campaigns while maintaining operational discipline over the consumer budget and agency performance. Responsibilities include driving innovative approaches to patient engagement, overseeing consumer research, managing agencies, and optimizing digital and social initiatives to deliver measurable results. We are looking for a marketer who manages resources based on clear data and ROI, and brings a genuine curiosity for innovation, including an interest in how AI can improve patient engagement. The ideal candidate blends strategic leadership with the ability to optimize digital initiatives for measurable results.
This role is based on‑site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2–3 days per week on‑site.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manages and coordinates the development, implementation and monitoring of core elements of the brand plans
Leads the development and implementation of marketing tactics to ensure attainment of goals related to these core elements
Oversees development and implementation of relevant tactical plans (i.e., sales/promotional tools, samples, PR/media, websites, market research, etc.)
Represents brand with internal and external stakeholders
Plays a lead role in the development and execution of brand positioning and messaging to achieve goals
Collaborates with and coordinates with other brand team members, external agencies and BIPI extended team members' alignment of marketing tactics with overall strategy
Monitors/analyzes product and market performance, competitive intelligence, market research to identify key growth opportunities and challenges facing the brand to define actions/tactics to advance brand toward its strategic objectives
Assists in the development and monitoring of product forecasts and brand expense budgets
Meets financial targets for the brand including net sales, discounts, market share and expenses
Supports annual business planning process as per schedule
Presents to Senior Management as needed
Manages and implements Phase IV and Life Cycle Management Plans to optimize brand's long‑term commercial value
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
Eight-plus (8+) years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry or marketing, including five (5) years US pharmaceutical marketing or related pharma experience
Experience launching a product in rare diseases or pulmonology strongly preferred
Experience working directly with digital partners to develop and execute initiatives strongly preferred (e.g., Google, third‑party media providers, social media community platforms, etc.)
Experience in guiding and integrating digital analytics and driving metrics‑based optimization strongly preferred
Demonstrated leadership skills
Demonstrated project management skills
Demonstrated ability to manage budget and resources
Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization
History of successful performance
Demonstrates acceptable level of performance for all Sr. AD, Marketing competencies/capabilities
Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and database applications
Ability to travel (may include overnight travel)
