This role reports to the Head of Marketing and partners with cross‑functional leadership to create compelling visual content that brings Apex’s spacecraft, technology, and mission to life. It is a highly hands‑on producer role: shooting, editing, and delivering content, while building camera, workflow, and content systems to scale.
About Apex : Spacecraft represent the most pressing unmet need across the aerospace industry. As launch vehicles grow and costs fall, the need for satellite buses (our spacecraft) increases. Apex manufactures these buses at scale using software, vertical integration, and manufacturing‑ready hardware.
Pay :
Base range
$90,000 – $110,000 per year. Pay depends on skills and experience.
Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end video production (concept, briefing, shooting, editing, delivery).
Personally shoot and edit a variety of video formats (product storytelling, brand content, campaigns, events).
Capture high‑quality photography for marketing uses.
Build and maintain camera, production, and content workflows.
Own video projects from idea to delivery, balancing quality and speed.
Partner with marketing leadership to translate brand strategy and technical concepts into visual stories.
Manage post‑production workflows (color, sound design basics, asset delivery).
Organize, maintain, and archive video and photo assets.
Support external vendors or freelancers when needed.
Requirements
4–7 years of hands‑on video or creative production experience.
Proven leadership of projects from concept to final delivery.
Strong hands‑on shooting and editing skills; capable of producing content independently.
Experience operating cinema cameras (preferably Sony) and lighting/ audio equipment.
Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Experience building and maintaining production and content systems.
Strong visual storytelling instincts and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, startup environment with shifting priorities.
Willingness to travel or work outside standard hours as needed.
Nice to have
Sound design or motion graphics experience (After Effects).
Interest in space, aerospace, or advanced technology.
Experience in startup or high‑growth company.
