Brainerd Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Coach in the Boys Soccer program.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Coach provides leadership and expertise regarding the rules, strategies, and techniques for the assigned activity, utilizing knowledge of the specific equipment, physical fitness and safety to prepare participants mentally and physically to compete at the highest level.
Essential Functions
Facilitates successful practices and attends meets.
Provides leadership and guidance to staff in support of the Head Coach.
Encourages student participation and establishes rapport.
Motivates participants/athletes to achieve maximum potential.
Works collaboratively with Head Coach, Activities Director, families and community resources.
Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations.
Complies with and supports all school district regulations and policies.
Other duties as determined by the Head Coach.
Qualifications
High school degree, GED, or equivalent.
Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and other staff.
Previous coaching experience preferred.
Willingness to accept and follow direction.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
General office skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
