Summary
Marketing Manager
is responsible for managing all integrated marketing efforts for all of
Pacers Sports & Entertainment
(PS&E) community, foundation and culture-driven initiatives. They are passionate about leading strategic campaigns that engage our local community and embrace company culture. They understand the importance of connection, leading with service and a fan-first mentality. This individual will also play a key role in Morris Bicentennial Plaza marketing and activation.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead the planning and execution of omni-channel marketing campaigns for key community, Foundation and cultural initiatives.
Lead digital and marketing efforts for PS&E’s evolving corporate brand, including day-to-day @PacersSportsEnt social media account management.
Collaborate with Corporate Public Relations, Community Engagement, and Events & Facilities teams to build out content calendar and identify strategic opportunities for storytelling and promoting PS&E in key community activations, activities and civic events.
Support the Associate Vice President of Marketing Events & Facilities across initiatives.
Develop and execute activation plans for Morris Bicentennial Plaza including hiring and managing entertainment for each event, supporting the Events & Facilities teams with curating well-rounded, fan-first activations.
Support the marketing team in budget planning, management and tracking, including managing invoices and reports for finance and marketing leadership.
Facilitate and grow community partnerships while engaging and working with Indianapolis area businesses and civic community to help meet organizational goals.
This position will be required to work a schedule that includes events on evenings, weekends and some holidays. Event work will include Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Morris Bicentennial Plaza events, community activations and some Fever and Pacers home games.
In every position, each employee is expected to align with PS&E's mission and core values along with actively participating in company-sponsored community outreach programs.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2-4 years of similar work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience executing omni-channel marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and out-of-home platforms.
Self‑starter with excellent project‑management skills and ability to balance multiple initiatives and deadlines.
Highly creative, collaborative, adaptable, and organized in fast‑moving environments.
Team‑oriented with strong interpersonal skills; able to build productive relationships across departments and with external partners.
Strong communication skills with attention to detail and brand alignment.
Passion for sports, entertainment, our community, digital and marketing trends.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Experience with CRM software, basic knowledge of Photoshop, and knowledge of Internet laws and regulations like CAN‑SPAM and COPPA.
Knowledge of guidelines set by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) and social media sites, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and other emerging channels.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and social media analytics & scheduling software. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom) and project management tools such as Asana or Basecamp is a plus.
Strong writing ability with proper grammar and punctuation and the ability to present information and respond to questions.
Good understanding of retail math concepts and calculations, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel to develop ROI analyses and reports.
Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make recommendations.
Must be able to see projects through to completion and exercise discretion when applicable.
