What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do We are looking for individuals with great attention to detail to join our kitchen team as a Steward Supervisor. The role is part of the “Heart of the House,” providing key services for culinary and food service teams.
Your Role
Lead a team of stewards in maintaining the cleanliness of the back‑of‑house areas.
Create a positive, upbeat work environment through interaction with team members.
Maintain a daily sanitation log for dish machines and manual pot wash sinks.
Ensure work areas are ready for use and communicate any outstanding issues.
Lead Green initiatives by properly recycling all cardboard using the compactor.
Promote energy conservation by turning off lights when not in use and keeping faucets turned off; report leaks to a supervisor.
Act as a key player in safety, preventing accidents, slips, trips, and falls.
Use proper dish and glass racks to avoid chip, crack, or breakage of small wares.
Proactively clean and sanitize all equipment during slow periods to maintain a clean, organized, sanitary environment.
Learn different tasks within the kitchen and develop new skills.
Assist in other areas when business levels dictate.
Provide a genuine level of engagement with all guests and fellow crew members with a sincere smile.
What Are We Looking For?
Previous steward experience.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Engaging, pleasant personality with a desire to meet new people.
Ability to use time wisely to accomplish tasks.
Capacity to work on feet for extended periods.
Effective communication skills.
Physical ability to move, traverse, and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
Comfortable lifting, carrying, and positioning loads of at least 25 lbs.
