About This Role
Company Overview:
Summit Line is headquartered in Heber City, Utah, with additional Utah locations in Sandy and Provo. We also operate in Northern California, Reno, Las Vegas and Phoenix.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Safety Advisor to join our team in
Santa Teresa, NM . The Safety Advisor will assist the division with planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and DOT. The Safety & Training Advisor is responsible for reinforcing safety culture within the organization.
What You’ll Do
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and gaps, and propose education plans to fill them.
Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
Provide field personnel training through tailboards and briefings.
Evaluate HSE education and training programs.
Develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials.
Support Company HSE training to ensure compliance with regulations.
Safety Inspections and Compliance:
Inspect workplace environments, equipment, or practices for compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
Audit job sites to ensure proper HSE procedures. Prepare written reports, near‑miss or good catch reports, ensure accurate incident reporting and follow up on corrective actions.
Communication and Relationship Management:
Communicate clearly and maintain relationships with employees, supervisory personnel, state and local officials, consultants, and subcontractors.
Provide support on sensitive or critical projects.
Support and Development of HSE Programs:
Support Corporate HSE initiatives, assist in development and enhancement of HSE programs.
Support post‑incident investigations and analyze HSE statistics and metrics to monitor safety performance.
Regulatory Understanding:
Have a general understanding of environmental rules and regulations.
What You’ll Bring
High school graduate and/or GED equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably within power line construction.
OSHA 30 certification and/or related safety certification, preferred.
Understanding of federal and state safety regulations and training requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with web‑based tracking software.
Must complete pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check as a condition of employment.
