About St. Paul Academy and Summit School St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA) is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college‑preparatory day school serving more than 920 students in Prekindergarten through grade 12. Our three campuses are located approximately a mile apart in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Goodrich Campus serves students in grades K‑5, the Randolph Campus serves students in grades 6‑12. The Prekindergarten is located on the campus of St. Catherine’s University and serves children beginning at age 4. The school draws students from St. Paul, Minneapolis, and throughout the eastern and western suburbs.

Description St. Paul Academy and Summit School is seeking a Head Boys' Varsity Golf Coach for the 2026 season and beyond. In this position, the successful candidate will serve as Head Coach of the US Varsity team and support lower‑level programs. Included in the responsibilities are coaching, team management, support of assistant coaches, and program development.

Requirements Candidates must demonstrate strong, effective organizational and communication skills with students, parents, and administration. Qualified candidates should have experience coaching in a competitive environment and in a state association like the MSHSL. Candidates should support the mission of SPA and be able to contribute to student‑athlete life outside athletics. Duties and responsibilities

Ensure the Boys Golf culture reflects the “Spartan Way”—Integrity, Excellence, and Passion—and that the student athletes reflect the values of SPA athletics.

Creating a positive environment that promotes team excellence—“We Before Me.”

Support the US and MS Athletic Directors to build a coaching staff of qualified coaches, mentoring them in coaching in the SPA traditions.

Implement well‑organized and structured practices.

Coordinate competition schedules with the US Athletics Director.

Work with the athletics operations coordinator in scheduling transportation.

Maintain accurate records and other required administrative work (rosters, schedules, physicals, results, records, equipment, and individual and team accolades).

Provide effective communication with, supervision, and evaluation of all athletes.

Support graduating players in the college athletics search process.

Build rapport with the greater community, generate interest in the program, and recognize the contributions of all; impress upon the athletes and parents that their efforts are valued while creating a positive team culture.

Participate as a positive team member in the Athletics Department, supporting program excellence and development.

SPA is an independent school that plays in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference (IMAC) and attracts college‑bound, bright and curious students who lead multi‑faced lives. Executing a plan to successfully lead, develop, and nurture these student‑athletes in a positive educational‑based athletic philosophy is a requirement.
