Job Title: Director of Housekeeping

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for all housekeeping operations, including member units, public areas, laundry services, and back-of-house spaces.

Establish, implement, and continuously improve departmental standards, procedures, and service expectations to ensure exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and member satisfaction.

Collaborate closely with department leaders to support seamless operations and optimal member experiences.

Oversee quality assurance programs, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Bluejack brand standards.

Develop and manage the housekeeping department budget, including labor forecasting, expense control, and long-term financial planning.

Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify efficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and service enhancements without compromising quality.

Direct inventory management for cleaning supplies, linens, uniforms, and member amenities, ensuring proper controls and vendor relationships.

Oversee lost and found procedures in accordance with resort policy and industry best practices.

Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of housekeeping leadership and team members.

Mentor and develop managers and supervisors, conduct performance evaluations and support professional growth and succession planning.

Foster a team culture aligned with Bluejack values and leadership expectations.

Serve as a senior point of contact for escalated member & guest concerns related to housekeeping, ensuring timely resolution and service recovery.

Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain accurate departmental records related to payroll, inventory, staffing, and maintenance coordination.

Perform additional duties as requested by Bluejack leadership.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of housekeeping leadership experience, preferably in a luxury resort, hotel, or private club.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and sustainability practices.

Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.

EDUCATION: High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE AND HOURS: Weekdays, weekends, and Holidays, schedule flexible as business dictates.

ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION: Soliciting gratuities from members or guests is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Gratuities include items such as cash, favors, gifts, tickets to events and other forms of non-financial compensation.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Our property sits on 767 acres and features many indoor and outdoor facilities that make up the work environment. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift. The employee may be working outside or inside and in different types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain and sunshine. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is also regularly required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Likely this role will require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner.
