Position Summary The Neuroscience Sales Specialist-II at Intra-Cellular Therapies, a Johnson & Johnson company, will develop superior product and disease state knowledge to engage in in‑depth clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals. They will create local strategic and tactical plans, manage budgets, and support territorial sales goals while embodying the company’s vision to improve lives of patients with neuropsychiatric disorders.
Job Responsibilities
Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasted results by calling on HCP offices and Mental Health Community Centers both in‑person and virtually.
Effectively utilize the assigned budget to achieve territory objectives, customizing discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of the local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers; routinely share insights with relevant internal stakeholders.
Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers/region and identify programs/resources appropriate for each customer, practice, and system.
Work with the Regional Business Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of all business objectives.
Collaborate Sollied online with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and share best practices.
Accountable for timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, synchronization, sample and expense reporting.
Build a business plan based on customer needs, resources, and product depth and breadth.
Complete all company and job‑related training within the required timelines.
Adapt to changing environments and continuously improve performance.
Job Requirements
2+ years of prior sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical device sales (3+ years in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred).
Launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales experience highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and caregivers; patient‑centric mindset.
Integrity and adherence to company compliance policies and procedures.
Self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, strong decision‑making judgment, teaming and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Proven track record of learning and adapting to evolving environments (e.g., COVID‑19).
Ability to be agile and adapt to virtual/telemedicine environments.
Data analysis skills to assess progress against objectives and identify new opportunities.
Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
Work hours may include meetings outside normal working hours; territory may require overnight travel Mallorca.
Domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings will be required periodically.
Must perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Benefits & Compensation Salary range for this position: $98,000 – $155,000. Employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, and a 401(k) retirement plan. A long‑term incentive program is also available.
