Outside Sales Representative - Trench Safety Equipment (Dealer) Industry Focus: Trench Safety, Shoring, Shielding & Excavation Support Equipment

Kane Selection Ltd is representing a nationally recognised dealer of Trench Safety & Shoring Equipment. Due to continued growth and the launch of a new branch in the region, our client is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to support equipment sales and rentals across Nebraska.
This is a critical hire to help establish the brand in a new territory and build long-term client relationships with contractors, utilities, and civil engineering firms. The role covers sales, rental support, and technical service for trench safety solutions including shoring boxes, slide rail systems, hydraulic shoring, and confined space safety products.
About the Opportunity This is a ground-floor opportunity with a new branch, offering full ownership of a wide-open territory. The successful candidate will:
Be the face of the business across Nebraska, developing and maintaining customer relationships
Target contractors, utilities, and infrastructure firms involved in underground or excavation work
Promote trench safety systems including trench boxes, hydraulic shore, slide rail, and other excavation support tools
Work closely with operations, logistics, and field service to deliver seamless solutions
Help shape the branch’s reputation by being reliable, visible, and competitive in the field
Ideal Candidate Profile Our client is open to backgrounds. The priority is on drive, competitiveness, and attitude. The ideal candidate:
Is a true go-getter, self-starter, and someone who knows how to hustle in a competitive field sales environment
Has experience selling or renting trench safety equipment, construction rental, or adjacent capital equipment such as aerial, compact, or material handling
Has a strong local network or familiarity with the Nebraska contractor landscape
Thrives in a fast-paced, boots-on-the-ground role with early mornings, jobsite visits, and consistent follow-through
Is competitive and driven to win, wants to be known in their market, and owns their territory with pride
Has backbone. Someone who builds rapport but can also push back and negotiate professionally when needed
Respects customer relationships and plays the long game on value, not just price
Experience in trench and shoring is a plus, but not essential. Sales ability and attitude will outweigh product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and close new business in trench safety rentals and sales across Nebraska
Conduct jobsite visits, safety briefings, equipment walkarounds, and solution consultations
Maintain regular territory coverage with jobsite activity and proactive pipeline building
Provide customers with quotes, technical specs, rental support, and service coordination
Help build the branch’s presence from the ground up by being visible, dependable, and well-networked
Work closely with the Branch Manager, District Sales Manager, and wider team
Additional Information This is a full-time, permanent position based in Nebraska, ideally suited to someone already in the state or willing to relocate.
