ASSOCIATE TECHNICIAN - TECHNICIAN - Electronics Assembly

Who We Are Join an independent R&D company as a skilled technician to assemble, maintain, and repair experimental electronics equipment to aid in solving national security problems.
Role Objectives
Work on a variety of projects and/or current challenges to support the lifecycle of electronic designs.
Develop Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), assist with the creation of detailed schematic drawings and library component generation for electronic designs.
Apply soldering skills to PCBs and work on miniature electromechanical systems.
Assist engineers with testing newly developed electronic designs and help troubleshoot on test bench.
Work independently and in team environments.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Solder fine‑pitched surface‑mount components to PCBs, perform soldering rework, and complete assembly.
Capture schematics, develop PCBs, and generate library components.
Construct custom cables.
Assist engineering staff with testing new electronic designs.
Complete assigned tasks without direct supervision and manage multiple tasks in parallel.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, or an Associate’s degree in Electronics.
Certifications preferred or working toward a certification/degree in electronics.
1 year of experience with surface‑mount soldering.
Experience troubleshooting and testing analog and digital electronics is beneficial.
Experience in PCB design software is preferred.
A valid/clear driver’s license is required.
Special Requirements Applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
