Zoning Board of Appeals - Alternate Member
Municipalities are required to have a ZBA to ensure there is a “safety valve” to keep Zoning restrictions from being overly rigid when there are unique hardships. ZBAs are granted two appellate functions: the review of applications for use and area variances, and the power to render interpretations of the zoning regulations. The Town of Niskayuna ZBA typically meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month to hear appeals from residents.
