Lower Snake River Wind Technician at Siemens Gamesa. The Wind Technician performs planned and unplanned maintenance including troubleshooting and replacement of parts on wind turbines in a safe and professional manner. Detailed records and parts used must be completed for all work performed. Technicians report to site management and communicate needs and safety issues that arise. Perform first-class work on preventive maintenances to be completed on time and right the first time. What You’ll Do
Responsible for the service and maintenance of Siemens Gamesa wind turbines at our Lower Snake River site in Pomeroy, WA. Provide exceptional service to customers, effectively analyzing and responding to challenging and hazardous situations. The working environment involves working inside the wind turbine enclosure at an elevated height of approximately 300 feet. Extensive training and testing will be provided, covering both safety protocols and technical job requirements. Physical requirements of the job include climbing ladders (minimum of 267 steps), ascending stairs, standing for extended periods, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, working above shoulder height, pushing, pulling, and exposure to vibration, chemicals, confined spaces, and extreme weather conditions. Capable of efficiently taking on additional roles and responsibilities at an operating wind farm. What You Bring
Experience or interest in servicing and maintaining wind turbines or related equipment. Ability to provide exceptional service and respond to challenging and hazardous situations. Willingness to work inside turbine enclosures at significant heights. Commitment to safety protocols and ongoing training. Physical capability to meet job requirements including climbing, lifting, bending, and exposure to elements. Capacity to take on additional roles and responsibilities at a wind farm. Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
