Overview
Cadrex is seeking a Machinist I who will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machining tools to produce precision metal and plastic parts. This entry-level role involves setting up, adjusting, and running basic machine operations while adhering to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other manual or CNC machining equipment to produce components according to specifications Assist in setting up machines, selecting proper tools, and making adjustments to ensure accurate production Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure they meet required tolerances and specifications Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE and maintaining a clean work environment Read and understand blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine job specifications and machining requirements Perform basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn tools as needed Work closely with senior machinists, engineers, and production supervisors to improve processes and troubleshoot issues Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment preferred Basic knowledge of machining operations, tools, and materials Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions Basic mathematical skills, including understanding measurements and tolerances Willingness to learn and adapt to new machining techniques and technologies Education

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and communicate. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually moderate and occasionally loud. Core Values
