JOB DESCRIPTION The PACU RN team member is responsible for working with multi-disciplinary healthcare professionals to care for patients in Phase I post operatively/post-procedurally.

Essential Function/Responsibilities

Deliver care to Phase I and/or Phase II patients post procedure.

Monitor, report, and record assessments, vital signs, symptoms and/or changes in patient conditions in an accurate and timely fashion.

Administer medications to patients and provide oversight for side effects and reactions.

Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.

Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE values (Purpose, Respect, Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion and Extraordinary Caring) in every aspect of the role.

Have excellent communication and computer skills.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Required

Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a valid, current NJ state license as a Registered Nurse.

3 years current ICU level or higher nursing experience.

BLS Certification.

ACLS Certification.

Preferred

PALS Certification (or obtain upon hire).

Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course.

IV certified.

BSN preferred – must be completed within 5 years of hire.

Related certification preferred.
