Job Description: SUMMARY We are looking for full-time Mid-Size Mechanic for theNew Lock at the Soo Project located in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan. This individual will perform maintenance on mid-size construction equipment, pick-up trucks, UTVs, gasoline and diesel driven tools, welding machines zá generators, air compressors, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose issues with diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics and electrical systems
Keep detailed records of work done
Work off schematic to look up parts needed for maintenance
്വ make sure equipment is job ready every day
Keep a clean and safe workplace
Assist heavy-equipment mechanic as needed
REQUIREMENTS
1-3+ years mechanical experience and aptitude in construction equipment
Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic and electrical systems
Night shift, Monday through Friday 5:30pm to 5:30am and Saturday 3:30pm to ~1:30am.
Must have clean driving record
Reliable, punctual and takes pride in quality work
