The Maintenance Tech -1 position supports the Facilities Department by working alongside experienced maintenance technicians to perform basic maintenance tasks and assist with facility asset management. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals seeking hands‑on experience in healthcare facility operations, maintenance processes, and equipment inventory systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist maintenance technicians with routine and preventive maintenance tasks Perform light maintenance duties, including basic repairs, adjustments, and inspections Support inventorying and tracking of facility equipment, systems, and room locations Help document asset information and update maintenance records as needed Respond to maintenance service requests under supervision Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment Follow all safety regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by Facilities leadership Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent Interest in facilities maintenance, building systems, or skilled trades Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Preferred
