We are seeking a BoardCertified or Board Eligible Neonatology Physician for locum tenens coverage at a 366‑bed hospital in Waterloo, IA. This patient‑focused facility offers advanced healthcare services and supports a Level III NICU with a collaborative care team. The role includes inpatient neonatal care and 24‑hour call coverage.

Practice Details
NICU:
10‑bed Level III NICU (capacity up to 12 infants short‑term)
Average Daily Census (ADC):
6.3 patients
Patient Population:
Neonates ≥28 weeks gestation
Infants
Inpatient responsibilities only
EMR:
Epic
366‑bed hospital with a strong commitment to patient‑centered care
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient neonatal care in the NICU
Manage and coordinate care for neonatal patients in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Respond to neonatal consults and provide on‑call coverage
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in Epic
Requirements
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neonatology
Fellowship trained in Neonatology
Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC
Letter of Qualification (LOQ) required at time of name clear
Ability to provide independent neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting
