Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Document Controller
to support engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and chemical industry projects. This role is responsible for managing the flow, accuracy, and integrity of project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience working in structured, document-heavy project environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, track, distribute, and archive all project documentation in accordance with established procedures
Control incoming and outgoing documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely distribution
Maintain document control logs and databases using document management systems such as Microsoft Access, SharePoint, or similar platforms
Ensure proper handling and understanding of IFA (Issued for Approval) and IFB (Issued for Bid) documentation
Coordinate document workflows with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams
Enforce document naming conventions, revision control, and approval processes
Support audits, turnover packages, and project closeout documentation
Required Qualifications & Experience
Prior experience working in chemical plant or EPC project environments
Strong understanding of IFA and IFB document phases
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Access, SharePoint, and document management systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams
